This pattern is in US terminology. See conversion chart below for UK translations.
Although you can use any yarn and hook for this project, I recommend using a 2.5mm crochet hook with a DK/light worsted weight yarn.

US sc (single crochet) = UK dc (double crochet)

A cotton or bamboo yarn gives the best results.

Suggested Materials
- DK/light worsted weight yarn in any colour, plus a complimentary colour for the belly.
- 2.5mm crochet hook or similar
- Toy stuffing or yarn scraps for stuffing
- 6mm toy eyes or brown/black yarn
- Brown/black yarn or embroidery thread for the mouth
- White felt plus a complementary coloured felt for the ears
- PVA glue or other white kids glue/fabric glue + brush
- Yarn needle and scissors
